Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean that you can’t head out on an adventure. A microadventure is a short, simple, local escape that makes your heart beat a bit faster, stirs your curiosity, and reminds you the world is waiting just outside your front door. Winter’s crisp air, early sunsets and frosty mornings actually make it one of my favourite seasons to seek out these tiny bursts of joy.
Whether you’ve got a free afternoon, a weekend, or a handful of daylight hours between work and dinner, here are 60 microadventures to try this winter. From cosy indoor ideas to wild outdoorsy moments that’ll warm you from the inside out.

- Stay safe: Bring a phone, snacks, water, and let someone know your plans if you’re heading out solo.
Winter doesn’t mean staying inside, it means reimagining what adventure looks like to you. These ideas are all about finding joy where you are, whether that’s a cliff top, a cafe terrace or your very own back garden.
