7 microadventures to have in March

We’re about to enter Spring, and I can’t wait for longer and warmer days, and more time for microadventures!

I’m on a mission to have a Big Advenutre-ful Year by having a weekly microadventure, and I wanted to share with you some of the ways you can find adventure this month as well, no matter your budget, time, health, or ability. Because life is too short to not find adventures wherever we look!

So let’s dive into how we can have some fun adventures this month which will celebrate the start of spring!

Celebrate the first day of Spring

We’ve made it gang! The first day of spring coming this month, and it’s time to celebrate, because it’s felt like a long time getting here.

Get out and enjoy a nature walk to admire the vibrant blooms and the sights and sounds of nature awakening after winter.

And don’t forget to make your own spring bucket list of adventure you’d like to go on this season! This post here might help you come up with some ideas for you!

Visit a botanical garden as everything wakes up

March is a brilliant time to head to a botanical garden and see the plants start to wake up after their hibernation. It’s a feast for the senses as you walk around, plus it’s a great way to spend a nice sunny blue sky day – grab your friends, soak up the vitamin D, and get inspired by the nature around you.

Sunrise photography

There’s nothing more magical than waking up and watching the sunrise! The peace and tranquillity that can come with it is something special, and I love getting to capture it on camera too!

Why not go out and capture a spring sunrise – notice the bird song, the slight warmth of the sun on a cold spring morning, and the buds of the tress starting to bloom.

A foraging adventure

March is a great time to forage for early spring greens, wild mushrooms, and other seasonal delicacies.

Learn how to identify edible plants and mushrooms safely, and enjoy the satisfaction of cooking up a delicious meal with your foraged finds.

If you are going foraging, make sure to be careful and safe when doing so!

Enjoy a gentle summit to celebrate the return of evening light

You can really start to feel the days getting longer, so this one is a perfect after work adventure to help you embrace the new season! So find a walk you can do before the sun sets, and take in golden hour!

A no-phone solo adventure

Leave your phone in your bag, and head out on a screen free adventure. It might be to a local green space to read your book with a picnic, a walk, a trip to a national trust location, a museum…the options are endless! (if you are going on a hike especially, make sure to have your phone with you incase of emergencies, but just leave it in your bag instead!)

Go blossom hunting

As we get towards the end of the month, blossom season will be well and truly upon us! So head out in search of the pink blossom – a true sign that spring is truly here.
