FORCE, Ambleside

FORCE cafe not only has incredible views, but they also have brilliant coffee.

It’s a really relaxed vibe in the cafe, and it’s the perfect place to come after a day walking, or if you’re wanting some good food, good coffee, and good views of the lakes.

Nestled in the main high street is The Moon and Sixpence, a small coffee shop, with incredibly strong and delicious coffee!

It’s the perfect place to come and catch up with friends over a coffee and a slice of cake!

Verey Books, Pooley Bridge

I’d argue that Verey books is one of the very best coffee shops in The Lake District, and further afield as well! Not only is it a gorgeous bookshop, with a fantastic selection of books, it also has a perfect little cafe serving incredible coffees and cakes!

The perfect place to have a coffee and read a new book!

Marra 46, Kendal

Marra 46 is a brilliant coffee shop, and also a great place to come for lunch! The coffee here is delicious, and they do a fab iced coffee here as well – perfect for a summers day. Enjoy your coffee either up in the cute cafe, or outside in their little courtyard.

Fell and Bean coffee van, Penrith Station

I wanted to make sure I included some of the more hidden gems in the lakes, and if you’re visiting here by train, you might be passing Penrith Station. Make sure to grab a coffee from Fell and Bean as it’s a really flavoursome coffee, and perfect for taking on the train with you!

Joey’s Cafe at Claife Viewing Station, Windermere

Homeground isn’t necessarily a hidden gem, but it’s one of my favourite coffee shops in The Lake District none the less!

The coffee here is beautiful, as are the brunches and brownies! It’s cute, compact and has a real vibe about the place. The queues are 100% worth it, because everything here is top quality!
