VivoBarefoot Walking Shoes Review | are they worth it + 20% off your first pair
At the heart of it, Vivobarefoot is all about sustainability and comfort. They believe in wearing shoes that fit our feet properly, and that our shoes should bring us closer to nature. Here’s the question though, are Vivibarefoot shoes worth the price tag?
Who are Vivobarefoot?
Vivobarefoot have 3 core beliefs;
- The closer people are to nature, the more they will protect it.
- The natural world is the only real model of sustainability.
- Barefoot shoes are the only shoes that are healthy for us and the planet.
They create shoes that are wide, thin, and flexible, and the idea is that they’ll improve your foot’s natural strength and movement.
One of the best things about Vivobarefoot is that they’re sustainable, and build shoes that last. If your shoes are in need of a little love, you can send them off to get repaired rather than just throwing them away.

Vivobarefoot Women’s Magna FG
The Women’s Magna FG are described as being able to take you from city to summit, and from my experience, this is so true!
Your ankles are really supported in these, the knitted collar is engineered to allow for enhanced natural foot and ankle mobility.
They’re a really versatile pair of shoes and are brilliant for walking as they’re really lightweight, which makes it easier for walking. You can really feel the ground beneath your feet, in a comfy way, which has helped my balance a lot.
The thermal insole keeps your feet all toasty and warm, and my favourite thing is that these are waterproof. I got a bit too close to the sea the last time I was in Scotland, and my feet were as dry as a bone! I haven’t tried the thermal insole in winter, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they fair up in the cooler months.
The best thing about these shoes is their versatility. I love that you can wear them for a day walking the fells, and then going out for coffee on a rainy day.

Are they worth it??
In one word, yes. 100%.
I was worried when I saw the initial price, however, they’re totally worth it.
Not only are they practical, but they’re also comfortable, good for the planet, and will improve your balance (especially on rocky terrain).
These are solid shoes, and I’ve put them through their paces the last few weeks with walks in The Lakes and Scotland. I actually wore these the whole time I was in Scotland last month, and they were so comfortable!
