Postcards From is all about finding adventure, every day. Because life is too short to wait for the big adventures.
I started documenting my adventures after being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 16. At 18, I had life-saving surgery and now live with a stoma bag. I want to show you can find adventures, whatever. Microadventures have brought me so much joy, even when my health has been in a bad way.
10 years later, and my life is all about finding adventures. Outside of writing this blog, my passions are photography, reading (and finding incredible bookshops!), eating delicious food, and going in search of the perfect decaf oat milk flat white!

How It All Started
I was born and raised in Cumbria, with the Pennines as my back garden and The Lake District as my playground. Since a young age, I’ve loved documenting my travels through postcards; growing up I used to keep summer diaries on the back of postcards and they’re a treasured memory.
When I was 18, I had an emergency, life-changing (and saving!) surgery to remove my bowel and it taught me many lessons, one of those being life is short, so LIVE it.
I graduated from uni with a law degree and masters in 2019, but my real passion is creative storytelling through words, photos and films.
Living my whole adult life with a chronic illness, it’s made me passionate about making travel accessible – no matter budget or health. So here you’ll find things for everyone. I’ll share, where possible, distances, terrain, access at venues etc and my DMs are always open if you want to know more about an area.
Postcards From is here to help you find everyday adventures (and explore a little further afield too) in an easy and enjoyable way and I’m so pleased to have you along for the ride!
